3. Columbus 2 GLAD YOU ASKED By BOB DOLGAN Charles Nagy is the starting pitcher for the Indians and is pulled out after three innings with an 8-5 lead. Eric Plunk pitches the fourth and fifth innings, and Paul Assenmacher pitches the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth. The game ends with the score still 8-5. Who gets the victory? Will Albrecht, Lakewood.

A Nagy cannot get it because a starter has to pitch at least five innings in a game of six or more innings to gain a victory. The scorer would award the decision to the pitcher deemed most effective. In this case, it probably would be Assenmacher since he pitched the longest. Have a question? Write Glad You Asked, The Plain Dealer, 1801 Superior Cleveland, 44114. CALENDAR TEAM Today Sun.
