In a world overflowing with complex leadership theories, people continue to search for THE silver bullet, the most authoritative definition of leadership that will provide a model for how they can be successful as leaders. But what if the essence of true leadership could be distilled into two simple rules? In this insightful TED Talk, Peter Anderton voices his belief that leadership is just about two things - 1) it is not about you, it is about the people; and 2) It is only about you, how you show up and set an example for the change you want to see. Starting with LaoTzu and Cicero, he travels through the wisdom of centuries to distill the idea of leadership down to these two principles. In our changing world, leaders can no longer be effective just by being faster, mightier, or better than the teams that they lead. Our context is way too dynamic and needs something more. This video provides some food for thought as we navigate these uncharted waters.https://lnkd.in/eaS_-xw#theartsquotient #taq #failureandsuccess #success #effectiveleadership #tedtalk #playthelead #actforchange

Our own research and work with teams through the years tells us that there are specific things people can do to move the needle for the team. How they manage themselves, how they communicate and contribute can really create a delta in terms of performance. Small mistakes can derail the team as much as little nudges can create magic! The activity you see in this picture challenges members to sync their efforts as they try to balance a rod and bring it down together. It looks simple, but unless the team really works in sync, it is next to impossible. After experiencing what "teaming" feels like in creative play, they reflect on how this links back to the way they work together, and what each individual can do to contribute to the collective. #theartsquotient #taq #synergy #glimpsesofourwork #playthelead #actforchange #teams #teameffectiveness #teamperformance #trust #cultureSangeetha Rajan

Earlier this week we had the privilege of working with senior leaders at Intel Corporation Through a series of theatre exercises, we explored the collective power of the group. Leaders shared perspectives on what it takes to pull together as one Intel in a changing market, and how each member of the team can contribute towards team excellence. It was a pleasure to work with such a committed group of leaders who willingly experimented, reflected, and shared their wisdom with the group. Thanks to Aditya Vellore, Vijay Colaco, and surabhi ramachandran for inviting us to facilitate this session!#theartsquotient #taq #intel #leadership #excellence #synergy #collaboration #playthelead #actforchangeSangeetha Rajan Swati Apte Dhannyaa Menon
