Acciari, John Joseph Age 74 of Saint Paul. Passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Dorothy Acciari, and wife, Michelle Stockey. He is survived by his children, Lisa Kremer and Tony Acciari. Charles Robert 'Charley' Allen

Allen, Charles Robert "Charley" age 72, of Maple Grove, MN, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on August 18, 1951. Charley, a caring father and husband, will be remembered for his dedication to, and love for, his family and friends. He led by example with his quiet faith, work ethic, sense of humor, and his kind and caring ways. His love of singing, his years as lead singer in the group "The Youngsters" and solo performance of "O Holy Night" every Christmas Eve will be remembered by all. Charley served six years in the Army National Guard, and 38 years as a member of the Painters and Allied Trades Local Union # 386. He then retired in 2015 after working for CBRE for 8 years. Charley is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Beth Allen; daughters, Katie Allen, Melissa Villagomez (Chad), Emily Allen (Carlos); grandsons, Evan, Owen, and Avery; granddaughters, Aris and Danelle; brothers, Warren Allen (Denise), and Jim Allen (Andi); sisters and brothers in-law Carol Ann and Skip Dickinson, Cathi Nelson and John Jenson, and Gary Larson along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Allen; mother, Harriett Allen; and brother, John Allen. A special thank you to Dr. Gertz and all of his care team at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and their dedication to finding a cure for multiple myeloma. A memorial service will be held for Charley at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Rd., Edina, MN, 55435, with a luncheon to follow. Bashiru A. Allison

Allison, Bashiru A. 74, of Apple Valley, passed away, Sat., May 25, 2024. Born Nov. 13, 1949 in Lagos, Nigeria to Rabiu Ayinla & Muyibat A. Allison. Bashiru is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bolatito T. Allison and two brothers. He is survived by daughter, Omololu Allison-Abatan; sons, Bashiru and Rashaad Allison; seven grandchildren; two sisters; ex-wife; and numerous step-siblings. Michael Todd 'Mike' Anderson

Michael "Mike" Todd Anderson, born on February 17th, 1948 in Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2024 in Maple Grove, MN at the age of 76. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. Mike was preceded by his daughter Stefanie Igtanloc as well as his parents Ralph and Lois (Bundy) Anderson. He is survived by his devoted wife Aileen Anderson; his son Ian Anderson and his family (Lisa, Jace, Brooks); son-in-law Matt Igtanloc and his family (Marie, Max); sister Peggy Weisskirk and her family (Gregg, Maggie, Lauren); and brother John Anderson and his family (Julie, Josh, Jessica, Isaac ). Mike graduated from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1970 and served in the Army Reserves. He had a successful career with, and retired from, Caterpillar. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors through hiking, canoeing, cross country skiing, fishing, and camping. He also had a passion for traveling and visited many national parks, Alaska, Jackson Hole, and international travels Italy, France, UK, Greece, Turkey, and Nicaragua. Mike was involved in his community, volunteering with Maple Grove Days and The Food Group. A private service will be held in his honor. Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We hope the family and friends can find comfort in the many memories they have with him.

Philip Ross Anderson

Anderson, Philip Ross (11/16/48 - 5/2/24) husband, father, grandfather, beloved uncle, cousin, friend, researcher, collector, educator, musician, baker, and writer, passed away on May 2nd from complications of pneumonia. He was surrounded by his family as he passed. Phil was a longtime media and film critic for City Pages, the Twin Cities Reader, Minnesota Parent, and other publications. He was also a professor in the Liberal Arts Department at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design for 30+ years, teaching classes on the history of film and animation, ethics, jazz, and many other varied subjects. His students went on to be artists, crafts people, filmmakers, and animators, and he took great pride in seeing their accomplishments. He loved to travel, and as a recipient of a Fulbright fellowship, he taught abroad in Oslo, Norway in 1993, where he and his family lived for seven months. Following his retirement, he devoted his time to his family, his guitar, and his garden. He continued to write and research, producing an article on the history of Minneapolis bakeries for the Minnesota Historical Society in 2014. He is survived by his wife Donna Ahrens, children Ted and Alice, son-in-law Ben Cochran, co-Gramps Peter Cochran, and grandchildren Henry and Cleo Cochran. A memorial service will be held at Westwood Nature Center in St. Louis Park on September 21st at 11am. Contributions in Phil's honor are welcome for the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Minnesota Historical Society, or Twin Cities Public Television, or any other source of information and scholarship.

Janice Ann Ayotte

Ayotte, Janice Ann 87, died Friday, June 7, at her home in Hopkins, MN. Jan was born October 15, 1936, in Hibbing Minnesota to Lester and Margaret McComber. She is survived by her children, Amy (Grant) Kromminga, Mindy (Jimmy) Nelson, Sally (Jeff) Sjogren, Peggy (Tom) Gerdes, grandchildren: Kelsey, Kyle, Natalie, Joe, Lauren, Luc and Jake, and eleven great-grandchildren: Riley, Oliver, Bella, Aubree, Brooks, Blake, Henry, Jack, Gracie, Adalyn and Jaxson. Jan was preceded in death by her husband Don Ayotte "Donny" "Babe", her parents, brothers Jimmy, Jackie and Jerry, her sister JoAnn and her grandson Mitchell. Jan, Mom, Grandma, Auntie Toots was a lover of life, her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved her days as a librarian at Kennedy High School, her retirement on Longlake in Longville and taking long Harley rides with Donny. Church was her foundation with a deep hope and faith for all those who surrounded her life. She will be remembered for her cheerful disposition and her sunny smile There will be a private celebration of her life on June 25 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Hopkins.

Jean A. (Krueger, Peterson) Bacig

With deep sadness, we share the news that Jean A. Bacig (Krueger, Peterson) passed away on May 22 in Bonita Springs, FL. Jean was a loving and loyal wife, mom, nana, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wed., July 17 at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 Victoria St. N., Shoreview. Visitation at the church for one hour immediately preceding the mass. Lunch will follow the mass at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1050 Gramsie Road, Shoreview.

Ann Raye (Leindecker) Baker

Baker, Ann Raye (Leindecker) of Webster, MN, passed away peacefully at home with family on June 9th, 2024 after a long, hard- fought battle with dementia. Born on December 5th, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Ann graduated from Michigan State University in 1964 with a degree in Secondary English Education. In addition to teaching middle school English, Ann worked for the American Red Cross, comforting injured soldiers during the Vietnam War. Her warm smile and loving nature made an impression on everyone she met. She is remembered as kind, generous, and as an incredibly dedicated and loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and Raymond Leindecker, and her brother, John Leindecker. Ann leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Dennis; children, Jay (Amy), Jeffrey, and Jennifer Baker; and grandchildren, Matthew, Jake, and Kayley Baker. Private interment at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 21st, 2024. A celebration of life will be held this summer in Minnesota. Baukner, James D. Age 90, of Maple Grove, passed away June 10, 2024. Preceded in death by birth parents John and Marie Gabriel; adoptive parents Joseph and Mary Baukner; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
