Groveland - Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Jones) Huberdeau, 75, widow of the late Gene R. Huberdeau, of Groveland passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29 at her home in Groveland.Elizabeth was born in Haverhill the daughter of Abbott O. and Patricia E. Jones. She was a graduate of Pentucket High School, Class of 1967. Betty had a long career in the healthcare industry as an office administrator for local doctors and hospital facilities, working at both the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Anna Jacques Hospital as well as for Dr. Joseph Andreas in Newburyport. Betty was an animal lover, she enjoyed being outdoors and walking on the beach, and going to Florida. She liked to watch the Celtics and Patriots and loved spending time with family. Betty will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.Betty is survived by her mother Patricia E. Jones of North Conway, her son, Adam and his wife Devon Huberdeau of Groveland, and her daughter Elizabeth "Liz" Cena of Tampa, FL. She also leaves behind her brother Craig Jones of North Conway and a sister Kathleen Jackson of Bradford, and a granddaughter, Vivie Gene Huberdeau. Windham - Joan V. Tremblay, 91, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024. She was born in Lawrence, MA to Emilien and Laura (Desrosiers) Levesque. She graduated from St Joseph's High School and went on to MacIntosh School of Business, where she learned to be a bookkeeper. She married and raised her family in Methuen, MA, where she resided for 60 years, before recently moving to Windham, NH. Joan will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is predeceased by her husband Paul E. Tremblay, her sisters Rita Cormier and Agnes Rousseau and her brother Raymond Levesque. Haverhill - Salvatore J. "Sal" Amari, 98, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Wednesday, May 29 at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester.Sal was born in Utica, New York the son of Joseph and Lena (Durso) Amari. A veteran of WWII, Sal served 16 months overseas under command General George Patton Co. A, 330th Infantry Regiment, the battles of Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. After the end of the War, he was assigned to the Army of Occupation in Germany before being discharged March 31, 1946. He had been drafted November 9, 1943 at age eighteen. Sal was employed for 26 years at the Boston Navy Yard as an Engineering Draftsman, retiring in 1974 when the facility was closed.A resident of the Mount Washington district of Haverhill for 78 years, he volunteered in neighborhood committees to promote improvement projects and in parish activities at St. Rita's Church until its closing. He was very active in the Italian community as the Historian of the Victor Emanuel Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy. Many of his historical accounts are in the Special Collections section of the Haverhill Public Library. Sal has been the recipient of many awards and citations for his service to the Italian community. In an article by Gazette staff writer, Tom Vartabedian, on June 1, 1992 Sal was referred to as "Senior is Heartbeat of Italian Community".As a musician, Sal has been a member of the Lodge's Drum Corps as a drummer and instructor since 1948. Since 1965, he has been a drummer for Haverhill City Band and a member of the Haverhill Musician's Union, Local 302.Sal studied art in Boston, graduating from Scott Carbee School of Fine Arts and the School of Practical Art. He taught art classes at YWCA in 1950 and since 1997 as a substitute teacher in the Haverhill schools. He is a former member of the Greater Haverhill Art Association.Sal leaves behind his nephew, John A. Ranieri of Lancaster, MA, his brother Anthony J. Amari and his wife, Debra of Lakewood, New Mexico and a first cousin Peter Artale and his wife, Helga of Franklin, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Frances M. Hampstead - Janice "Jan" Mary Anselmi, 76, of Hampstead, NH, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital. She was born on April 4, 1948, in Lawrence, MA, to the late John and Mary (O'Connor) Murphy.Jan was raised in Lawrence, where she attended St. Patrick's through elementary and high school before later earning her bachelor's degree from Salem State University. Upon her graduation, Jan devoted the following thirty years of her life teaching at the James F. Hennessey School in Lawrence. As her faith was of the utmost importance to her, she also spent her evenings and weekends serving as Eucharistic minister for both St. Lucy's Parish in Methuen, MA, and St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead, NH.She is survived by her adoring daughter, Amy; her brother, John; and her two grandchildren, Lilly and Jack.In addition to her parents, Jan was predeceased by the love of her life and owner of Anselmi and Associates, Paul Anselmi.A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10:30am, at St. Anne's Parish, 26 Emerson Ave, Hampstead, NH. East Hampstead - Corinne R. (Hatem) Archetti, 79, a resident of East Hampstead since 1969, died peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Salem Haven in Salem, NH, with her loving family by her side.Born, raised, and educated in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Al and Ida (DePetrillo) Hatem and graduated from Lawrence High School. Mrs. Archetti was employed as a teller for many years at the Arlington Trust Co and since 1983 as the office manager of Archetti Sales and Marketing.Mrs. Archetti attended Saint Anne's Church in Hampstead where she had served for many years as a religious education teacher, and she also volunteered as a freelance photographer for the Hampstead Schools. She was a past member and President of the Hampstead Lioness Club.A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Archetti enjoyed creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was an accomplished cook and baker, known for her apple pies, ice box cakes and famous meatballs. She also enjoyed fine dining out and playing cards, especially fantan.Mrs. Archetti will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of fifty-seven years, Michael J. Methuen - Diane (Mathon) Atspins, of Methuen, MA, passed away on April 11, at home surrounded by her family, at the age of 80.She was born on February 2, 1944. in Lawrence MA where she grew up and graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in 1961. After graduation she attended Lawrence General School of Nursing and earned her nursing degree in 1964.For almost 60 years, she worked as a Registered Nurse in medical-surgery, rehabilitation, and hospice. After retiring she kept her license active to volunteer her time.She was a faithful Christian believer, who regularly attended Marsh Corner Community Church in Methuen, MA, where she was involved in small groups and volunteered in different ministries around the church.She is survived by her husband, John Atspins, of Methuen MA. Pelham - Orald (George) J. Ayotte, age 95, of Pelham, NH, passed away May 5, 2024, at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry, NH.George was born on March 5, 1929, in Lowell, MA to the late Joseph and Eva (Frappier) Ayotte. He grew up on a small farm in Dracut and also lived in Lowell and Amesbury and later moved to Salem and Pelham, New Hampshire. After graduating from Lowell High School, George enlisted and spent 12 years of full time service in the Army National Guard. His career was in the printing and insurance businesses. In his younger years he raised Norwegian Elk hounds and loved horses. Dancing the Polka was his favorite pastime and for many years traveled throughout New England and upstate New York for .Polka celebrations. George spent many years volunteering preparing many meals at LaSalette Shrine in North Attleboro, St. Basil Seminary in Methuen and St. Joseph Parish in Salem, NH.George leaves behind many friends, especially Shirley Riccio of Derry, and Roger and Helen Duhamel, of Salem and was predeceased by his brother, Donald.A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 40 Main Street, Salem, New Hampshire, on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at a later date at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Lawrence - Jasper A. Balsamo, 95, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon at the MI Nursing Restorative Center in Lawrence, MA.Jasper was born in Haverhill, MA, the son of the late Anthony and Carmina Rossi; he was educated in the Lawrence schools. Jasper served in the U.S. Army and later worked in construction. He worked at the Lawrence Paperboard Corp. in Lawrence for 33 years.In addition to his parents, Jasper was predeceased by his first wife, Carmeline Balsamo, and his second wife, Maureen Balsamo. He is also pre-deceased by his brother, Frank Rossi.Jasper is survived by his daughters, Donna Balsamo, Jean Marquis and her husband Roger, and Julia Notenboom and her husband Gary. Jasper is also survived by his 4 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Even when dementia took over his mind not a day went by that he didn't ask about and want to speak to his greatgrandchildren, Ava and Ben. He was amazed he could speak with them and see them on the cell phone at the same time. His family was everything to him, he also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends.You almost made it to 96 years old Dad. You will be greatly missed. Tipton - Nancy J. Batchelder, 90 of Tipton passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in Kokomo. Nancy was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on June 7, 1933 to her parents Martin H. & Evelyn (Peters) Cole. She married Arthur Batchelder on July 25, 1953 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1986. Nancy had previously lived in Merrimac, Massachusetts, Sebring, Florida and Mason, Ohio and in Tipton since 1995.She was a graduate of Haverhill High School in the Class of 1951. Nancy had worked as an electrical tester for both AT&T and Western Electric. She was an avid walker and was always seen walking around Tipton with her stand-up walker. She worked wonders with cross stitch making many gifts for her family and friends. Nancy always enjoyed traveling and made an exciting trip to Europe but by far her favorite place to visit was Alaska. She was also a voracious reader and would routinely devour at least 100 mystery novels each year.Survivors include her two children, Lyn Diamond and husband Harry of Tipton and Thomas Batchelder of Plaistow, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Katherine Diamond, Benjamin Diamond and Brendon Batchelder and wife Tess Batchelder who is expecting Nancy's first great-granddaughter. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Joan Cole of Merrimac, Massachusetts. Nancy was preceded in death by her three siblings, Martin Cole, William Cole and wife Fern, and Dorothy Cole.A Graveside Committal Service for Nancy will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, 96 Salem St., Bradford, MA, where she will be buried next to her husband, Arthur. Salem - Jules "Jay" Bauters, 92, passed away on May 21, 2024 at Holy Family Hospital after a period of failing health. Jay grew up in Lawrence and was the son of the late Raymond Bauters and the late Argentine Mary (Gisquiere) Benson. Jay served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and worked for Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for many years. He took early retirement to care for his son John. Jay loved to dance and fish, and loved playing cards with his wife and their friends. He enjoyed daily breakfast at Sammy J's and he made many friends there as well. Jay is survived by his children, Susan Tisbert of Pelham, NH and Jay Bauters of Salem, NH; his sister, Nancy Ferguson and husband, Alan of Bridgewater, MA; his grandsons, Michael Fecteau of Pelham, NH and Matthew Tisbert of Maine; his six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jay lost the love of his life, Doris, in September of 2023 after almost 70 years of marriage. Andover - Orazio Michael "Mike" Bellia, 92, passed away November 1, 2023, at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 15, 1931, in Andover, MA, he was the son of the late Antonio and Carmela (Cavallaro) Bellia, the husband of the late Mary Frances "Fran" (LaRochelle) Bellia and brother of the late Rose Bellia.Mike spent most of his life on Greenwood Road in Andover, building a house next to his parents, where he and Fran spent 58 years together. A lifelong Catholic, he graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1949 and was the first in his family to attend college. Portsmouth - Roland A. 'Ben' Benoit, 85, a resident of Hampton Beach, NH, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.The son of the late Wilfred and Jeannette (Houle) Benoit, Ben was born and educated in Lawrence and was a 1957 graduate of Lawrence High School. He went on to attend Merrimack College in North Andover. Ben served in the Military Police in the United States Army Reserves. He retired from Wang Laboratories where he had worked as a Contracts Manager for over 20 years. Despite being French, Ben loved Irish songs and dancing. He loved his numerous trips to Ireland. Ben took great pride in his family, it was the most important thing in his life.Ben is survived by his wife of 64 years Helen M. (Bowler) Benoit, his children: Christopher and his wife, Karen of Methuen, MA, Patricia and her husband, Darrell Marroncelli of Hampton, NH, and James and his wife Jaime of Lawrence, MA. Andover - Roland A. Bibeau peacefully passed away June 3, 2024. He was born in Lawrence MA to Wilfrid and Aurore Bibeau and grew up in Sacred Heart Parish and the French-Canadian community. Roland graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked as a pressman for the Lowell Sun until his retirement. He loved his family very much and enjoyed keeping track of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Roland was predeceased by his beloved wife Helena L. (Beaulieu) Bibeau in 1976. Pelham - Philippe L. "Phil" Blanchette, 94, of Pelham, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 4, 2024, at home.He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline A. "Jackie" (Bedard) Blanchette of Pelham, NH, who survives him.Born in Lawrence, MA, April 16, 1930, the son of the late Louis P. and the late Yvonne (Hebert) Blanchette, he received his education through the Methuen School system.A veteran of the Korean War, Philippe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.Prior to his retirement, Philippe worked as a Meat cutter at the former Purity Supreme Market in Pelham, NH, and previously worked at the Kenney Meat Supply Company in Lawrence, MA.Amongst his many interests, Philippe was a member of the Pelham Knights of Columbus, Pelham Garden Club, and the Pelham Spirit Club. He also had a love for snowmobiling and was a member of Pelham Border Riders.Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Muriel A. Salem - Olga A. (Gielazauskas) Boland, age 98, of Salem, NH, died Monday at the High Pointe House, Haverhill, MA.She was born in Salem, NH where she grew up, attended school, and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1943. She went on to Nursing School at St. Joseph's Hospital School where she graduated as a registered nurse in September 1949. She lived as a resident of Salem her entire life. Olga worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and at Bon Secours/Holy Family Hospital for over 40 years. She also worked as a private nurse and volunteer nurse to support the community. Olga was an active member of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem supporting the church in many roles. She was also an active volunteer in Salem at the Salem Senior Center where she taught craft classes and supported Meals on Wheels. Olga was active in the Parent Teacher's Association (PTA) and the Women's Association of Salem Policemen's Wives. Bonneau, 100, of Dracut, MA, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in the presence of her beloved family.Claire was born in Lawrence, MA, on Oct. 3, 1923, the daughter of James and Florence Manock. She graduated from Lawrence High School, Class of 1938 and Bryant McIntosh College, also in Lawrence.Claire was employed in the Lawrence Mills during World War II. She then went on to work at St. Patrick's School in Lawrence.Claire recently celebrated her 100th birthday with an exclusive party at the Grazie Restaurant, Four Oaks Country Club in Dracut, hosted by her daughter, Melissa Chabot-Bonneau. Claire felt honored and couldn't believe all the people who had come to share her special centennial anniversary.Going to the beach, getting her feet in the water, collecting sea shells and breathing in the fresh ocean air were things Claire loved to do. She also loved dancing, especially the cha cha. Claire also enjoyed going to different parks and restaurants, meeting new people and going to the senior center for the parties they had. She loved planting flowers and feeding the birds in her yard. She even learned how to FaceTime just so she could communicate with her grandson, Russell in California.If you met Claire, then you have probably heard some of her most famous sayings, such as "Feed the birds and you will never go hungry." Also, "If you can't be good, be careful and if you can't be careful, then be damn good at it."Family members include her daughter Melissa Chabot-Bonneau who she lived with, and her companion, Albert Rizzo, Jr.; her daughter, Cynthia C. Salem - Teresa M. Boudreau, 69, passed away after a long illness, on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Center.She was born on August 22, 1954, Anna M. (Donovan) and Peter R. Boudreau. Teresa was raised in Revere, Massachusetts until the age of five when her family moved to Salem, NH. She attended St. Joseph Parochial school and graduated from Salem High in 1973. She began her career working for Data ED and later went on to work for the Town of Salem, Public Works Department, where she meticulously cared for Pine Grove Cemetery. Teresa moved to Florida, where she became a certified medical coder. Upon returning home to Salem, she worked at the Casella Recycling Facility.Teresa loved to host lobster and clambakes for family and friends at her home. She enjoyed kayaking, hot air balloon rides, and lovingly caring for her dogs, Bandit, Midnight, Bailey, and Kahlua.Teresa was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Peter Boudreau. Despite her special needs, Donna led a full life, surrounded by many friends, a supportive and loving family and compassionate caregivers.Raised in Lawrence, Dona was a kind -hearted person who loved animals, Chrisitan music and Boston sports teams-her favorite was the Boston Red Sox. Donna loved to help out and anyone would tell you that they could count on her to pitch in every time. Her family notes that Donna loved going to Camp Allan, a non-profit camp for adults with different abilities. Donna would make new friends each summer, take day trips to the beach, go out for ice cream and make hundreds of crafts. Andover - Terence Michael Burke, 66, Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, local businessperson, died Friday, May 31, at his home in Andover, MA, surrounded by his loving family. At Bates College, he was the captain of the football team. On the field, he was an intense competitor. When he stepped off the field, he was a quiet leader, a dedicated friend, and a gentle soul.As an adult, he was an enthusiastic runner, completing many road races and marathons. He was disciplined about keeping fit, and his trips to the gym were a part of his daily regimen. He was also an ardent spectator of all sports. In particular, he loved watching the New England Patriots with family or friends. Watching his children engage and compete on the field was a source of immense pride for Terry. He was a keen observer and had a critical eye for the intricacies of sport.As a lifelong gardener, Terry grew vegetables each summer and loved sharing his bounty with family and friends. Salem - Alexander F. Byron Jr, 95, of Salem, NH and previously of Andover, MA. passed away on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, at the Salemhaven Nursing Center.He was born on December 5, 1928, to Eugenia (Beaudet) and Alexander Byron Sr. Alexander was raised in Lawrence, MA, attended local schools and went on to attend Central Catholic High School, where he was the Quarterback for the football team as well as playing baseball. He graduated in 1947 and took courses at the Franklin Institute of Electronics. Alexander married the love of his life on July 3, 1949, and the couple raised their family in Lawrence, MA. He spent his career working as a Quality Control Analyst for Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, until his retirement in 1986.Alexander was a life member and Range Officer of the Andover Sportsmen Club and the Lawrence Rod and Gun Club, where he had served as Club President. He had a love for sports, whether it was hunting, fishing, target practicing, football, or baseball and played as a catcher for the CYO baseball team and coached in the Methuen Little League for many years.He was very proud of his family, beginning with his father and his decorated service as a Captain in the United States Army Cavalry Division, displaying his father's medals on the walls of his home. He adored his wife, or as he often referred to her, his best friend. Alex cared for her in their home until 2018. Deering - Thomas P. Christopher, Jr., 71 of Deering NH, formerly of Andover MA, on May 9, 2024, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Thomas P. and Cecelia Christopher. He is survived by his son, Thomas F. Christopher of Deering, NH, and his long-time companion, Dorothy Burnham of Scituate, MA. Chester - Carl R. Citelli, 69, of Chester, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2024. Born February 4, 1955, in Flushing Queens, NY, to the late Anthony and Angelina (Pinieri) Citelli. Carl grew up in Orange County, New York, until moving to NH in 1983 with his wife, Jan. Since then, they have made their home New Hampshire where they have raised their three children. Carl has been a resident of Chester, NH for the past three years, formerly living in Windham, NH.Carl has spent the last 43 years in the logistics business. Recently retired from NFI Logistics Americas as Vice President. Carl was the President of NEARS (North East Association of Rail Shippers) and served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Derry, NH. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Derry, NH, where he was recently awarded the Paul Harris Fellow. This award is the highest form of recognition that can be bestowed upon a Rotarian. Full of energy and always learning Rose worked as a Sales Representative for Ciba Giegy selling medical equipment, and retired from this company at the age of 70. True to herself, Rose worked at various other jobs, such as working at the desk at a dental office until she was 80. She never stopped moving forward and never stopped learning something new. Rose was an avid reader with a library of books including many on the history of the US as well as mysteries and crime novels. She was immensely proud of her French roots and read many books on the emigration of her family from France to Nova Scotia, finally settling in Haverhill. Growing up during the big band era, Rose was a lover of music and dancing. She was an amazing educator and taught at Pleasant Valley School in Methuen and Hannah School in Beverly, MA. Beatrice was a kind-hearted, generous woman, she was a proud member on the board of trustees at Girdler House in Beverly, and a former member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lawrence. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and at her summer house in Rockport, and loved to spend time with her dog, Mini Loo. Beatrice loved to play tennis, golf, and garden, always tending to the flowers in her yard. She loved to be with her family and friends, everyone who knew her loved her.Beatrice will be dearly missed and is survived by her beloved siblings, Betty Waites and her husband Norman of Methuen, MA, Eleanor Patton and her husband Michael of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and James P. "Gigi" (Vitale) DiPaolo, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, May 14 at Chelmsford Crossing Assisted Living, Chelmsford with her family by her side.Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Rose (DePalma) and Joseph Vitale. Raised and educated in Beverly, she was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1951. She met the love of her life, William "Billy" DiPaolo as a young girl and they married September 30, 1951. Billy passed away 6 years ago in May of 2018, married for 67 years.Gigi was employed at the former Bomac of Beverly, as a school crossing guard and for her uncle, former Mayor of Beverly James A. Vitale. She also worked at her families sand and gravel company, Miles River Sand and Gravel in Ipswich.In 1971 with her husband, purchased Hamilton Gardens Flowers and Greenhouse in Hamilton, a successful business they operated with their children for over 25 years. Gigi also worked at the Wenham Exchange and Tea House in Wenham.She was a very creative woman and honed her creativity at the flower shop. Known for her beautiful custom Christmas wreaths and floral expertise, she was an integral part of the success of the flower shop. An excellent cook and homemaker she will be remembered for her beautiful decorating skills. Gigi was athletic and walked 3 to 4 miles every day for many years. She also enjoyed swimming, dancing and played in the Beverly Volleyball League in the 1970's and 1980's. She volunteered on many various committees over the years and took many classes such as painting and piano to name a few. Gigi loved taking trips all over the United States, Canada and Bermuda, with Charleston, SC and San Diego, CA her favorites.For many years Gigi and Billy spent much time at their home in Falmouth on Cape Cod. They lovingly brought the house and gardens to life and welcomed family and friends there for over 20 years. Family was everything to her and she was a devoted mother and great grandmother. She will be remembered by her family for her steadfast support and her feisty spirit.Gigi leaves her children, Joseph T. DiPaolo and his wife Tina (Kaplan) of Beverly; Deborah J. GEORGETOWN - John Lawrence Doheney, III, of Georgetown, MA, 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.He was born on November 13, 1945, in Revere, MA. He was the husband of the late Catherine (McManus) Doheney, son to the late Lawrence and Carmilla Doheney, father to the late Vincent Doheney and brother to the late Jackie Doheney.John drove tractor trailer trucks for Red Ball Express and New Penn Motors before suffering a career ending back injury. He loved the ocean and particularly Revere Beach, where he grew up and met his bride and love of his life, Cathy. He was a very social, giving, and beloved man who enjoyed camping, bowling, and playing the piano and accordion. He was a member of NAFCA (North American Family Camping Association), Good Sam Club as well as many bowling leagues over the years. John enjoyed traveling, both in his motor home and flying to many destinations with his wife Cathy. He loved taking his grandchildren on camping trips in the summer, giving them many precious memories. He will be remembered in Georgetown as the man who drove the electric green Camaro convertible and red scooter, nicknamed by many "the Pope Mobile," around town. He visited Georgetown Café most mornings and made many friends there. He then would ride his scooter to American Legion Park to watch the pickle ball games.John's surviving family members include his two daughters Cheryl (Auger) Haley and her husband, John of Georgetown, MA and Lynne Auger of Charleston, NC. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Richard Dunn and his wife Charlene of Mill Valley, CA, and the late Michael Dunn of Evanston, IL, her sister-in-law Doris Garvin of Costa Mesa, CA as well as several nieces and nephews.Nana received her Associates degree from Northern Essex Community College, Haverhill, MA, and a Bachelor's degree from Merrimack College, North Andover, MA. Her work as a yoga teacher and interest in spiritual well-being precipitated her to pursue her Masters in Divinity degree from the Seminary of Spiritual Peacemaking, Ashland, OR. As a spiritual peacemaker and ordained minister, her work was a great part of her life. In her last chapter, she became an advocate for end-of-life choices, living out her beliefs. Salem - Robert R. Eichhorn Sr, 90, died from congestive heart failure May 22, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was the son of Raymond and Andrea Eichhorn. Bob graduated from Searles High School, Class of 1952. Following graduation, he served as a Gunner's Mate in the U.S. Navy onboard USS Haynsworth DD 700, during the Korean War. After release from service, he went on to Dunwoody College of Culinary Arts before returning home to work with his father at the family bakery. In 1955, he married Carolyn Ward, and they settled in Salem NH where they raised their 5 sons. Bob was a member of the Derry-Salem Elks #2226, VFW Post 8546, and Salem-Pelham Fish and Game Club. He was also a Shriner and Master Mason. He loved fishing, hunting and making people laugh. Londonderry - Susan C. Elmore, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at her home in Londonderry, NH.She was born Susan A. Cavanaugh on May 4, 1949, the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Quinn) Cavanaugh.Susan grew up in Newtown, Connecticut and was the first in her family to go to college, graduating from Sacred Heart University as her class's valedictorian. She then entered the workforce at Travelers in Hartford, Connecticut, where she met Paul Elmore. Paul and Susan married on October 21, 1972, and remained married up until Paul's passing 45 years later in 2017.Susan lived a very full life, occupied by her professional work as an accountant, her family life as a wife and mother, and her various interests that included singing in the church choir at St. Matthew Parish, and tap dancing, which she enjoyed even into her 70s after two knee replacements! Even in her retirement years, Susan remained active with her grandchildren and as a member of her condo association's governing board. Susan brought her keen mind, her appreciation for attention to detail, and her caring heart to everything she did, and she was well-liked by those who worked, prayed, sang, or danced with her.Susan is survived by her daughter, Julie Elmore of Ayer, MA, and her son and daughter-in-law, John Elmore and Xiaohui Zeng-Elmore of Stratham, NH, whose two boys, Edward Elmore and Brian Elmore, were very fond of their grandmother. North Andover - Beverly (Whitman) Everett of North Andover, widow of Dr. Henry C. Everett, passed away on Thursday, May 9, from complications of heart failure.Beverly was a gentle, generous, and eminently practical New Englander who always had a kind word for everyone she met and kept her composure at all times, save for an occasional wry smile that could be spotted beneath the glint in her eye.Beverly was a lover of nature and enjoyed hiking and birdwatching. At home, she maintained feeders for the local bird population and filled her windowsills with plants. She loved opera and made numerous pilgrimages with friends to the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City to see her favorites.Beverly was an active, long-time member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading. She had a particular interest in Buddhist philosophy and, with Henry, was a member of the Institute on Religion in the Age of Science, for many years attending their annual summer conference on Star Island in New Hampshire. She was also an active member of the International Association for Religious Freedom, with whom she traveled to India, Japan and Taiwan.Above all, Beverly was a loving wife and companion to Henry and a devoted stepmother to her adopted family. After Henry's passing, she helped keep the children and their families connected. She hosted an annual Christmas dinner, typically at the Colonial Inn in Concord, followed by a Yankee Swap, where gifts, often humorous, were opened and exchanged.Beverly was born on April 12, 1933, in Coventry, Ri., where she was raised. She attended the University of Rhode Island and worked for twenty-one years as a Research Technician in the Neurosurgical Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She and Henry were longtime residents of the Millpond community in North Andover. Haverhill - Robert (Bob) Fedorchuk, 92, of Haverhill, MA passed away peacefully with his wife and two daughters at his side, on June 6, 2024 after a period of failing health.He was born on August 30, 1931, son of the late Felix and Helen (Cortese) Fedorchuk.After graduating from the Haverhill Trade School, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was stationed in Greenland, which he loved to talk about. After completion of his Air Force Service, Robert worked as an Auto Body Repairman for several different Auto Dealerships. He then continued his career as a Model Maker at Raytheon. Continuing his love of automobiles, he attended the General Motors Institute in Flint, MI where he trained to become an adjuster for General Motors. After working for General Motors for several years, he managed several Auto Dealerships in the New England Area. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Fitchburg State University, and then went on to spent over 30 years as a teacher and Administrator at Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical High School, in Tyngsboro, MA, until his retirement in 2005.In his earlier years he loved to travel to the Islands, with his wife, Marge by his side, always returning sporting a great tan. His love of automobiles remained, going on to restore a Model T car and of course helping out any and all of those in need of car repairs. He then became interested in model ship building, and of course, each and every piece was precisely placed. Seabrook - Shawn P. Graham, 59, of Seabrook, NH, passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, May 17th, 2024. He was born on December 27th, 1964, to D. Elaine (Petralia) and James Graham. Following graduation, Shawn began his career in Sales, which he loved and embraced to the fullest. He was born to be a salesman and could sell anyone, anything. Shawn put his heart and soul into whatever he did, whether it was work related or with his family. He was truly one of a kind. Often referred to as the "Social Director", he loved being around people. In his spare time, Shawn could often be found playing golf. He was an avid Boston sports team fan, holding season tickets to the Red Sox and Patriots. Derry - Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Guerrin, 79, of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born on April 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Jerome and Edna (Lee) Guerrin. He graduated from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY. Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Army serving as a Military Police Officer in Korea during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he resumed working with the United States Custom Agency as a Special Agent Group Supervisor at SAC offices in NYC, Washington, D.C. and Boston. He was president of the New England Chapter of the Association of Former Customs & Homeland Security Special Agents. He will be missed by many and his stories will live on forever. Jerry was an active member of the Derry Salem Elks Lodge and participated in their pool leagues. He also enjoyed kayaking with Carol in NH, ME and eastern Long Island, NY and attending many Pan Am alumni conventions and functions. Boston - Brother Leonard F. Haley, SM, of Boston, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 84.Brother Leonard was born in Cambridge on July 11, 1939, a son of the late Leonard and Mary (McCullough) Haley, and was raised in Somerville. A year after graduating from Somerville High School he entered the Marist Novitiate in Staten Island, New York and received his first profession on December 8, 1959. His perpetual profession came four years later. He earned his bachelor's degree in religious studies at the University of Detroit.From there he embarked on a 60-year ministry with the Society of Mary. Fr. Leonard served the community in a variety of capacities as an administrator, pastoral and hospital ministries, and as a volunteer. He served at Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, Michigan, Holy Name Parish in Detroit, Mount Carmel Parish in Methuen, Saint Anne Parish in Lawrence, Saint Joseph's Parish in Haverhill, Saint Lucy's Parish in Methuen and at the Marist homes in Framingham and in Boston. In retirement he continued his service to the Church and assisted at several area parishes including Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted in Waltham.Brother Leonard leaves his brother, Robert Haley (Diane) of Hudson, his nephew, niece, cousins and their families as well as his confreres in the Society of Mary Community.Family and friends will honor and remember Bro. Andover - Mrs. Frances Claire (Crowley) Hennessey of Andover and Manchester-by-the-Sea, beloved wife of 53 years of the late David J. Hennessey, died peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.Born in Everett, January 19, 1945, Frances is the daughter of the late John and Claire Crowley. After being raised and educated in Somerville and Malden, Frances attended and graduated from Cheverus Catholic High School in Malden (Sisters of Providence). She continued her education and worked herself through Emmanual College in Boston earning her Bachelor's Degree in Science/Biology. It was in these years she met and married her love, David. After working as a teacher of nursing students in the Boston area, she and David joined the Peace Corps and shortly thereafter began their new family. David's career brought them to relocate to Puerto Rico with their first three children. Prior to the birth of their fourth child they settled in Andover Massachusetts where Frances raised the children at home. Frances was committed to her faith and actively participated in pilgrimages to the Vatican in Rome, as well as supported many World Youth Days for her family. Frances and David had a love for the ocean; many summers were spent in Gloucester at Wingaersheek Beach where they had had their first "date", and they enjoyed family days and cook-outs in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Rockport, Salisbury, Hampton, NH and York, Maine. Manchester - Jeanne F. (Morrow) Ivester, 96, of Manchester, NH and formerly of North Reading, MA, died at her home on Thursday, June 6, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Ivester.Born in Winchester, MA on August 12, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (McCarthy) Morrow. She was raised and attended school in North Reading and was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School.Jeanne worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph, Sweetheart Plastics, C & W Transportation and she retired from the Agfa Corporation. After her retirement she worked part time for Marshalls in North Reading.Jeanne was an avid bowler of the Candlewood Lanes in North Reading, until the young age of 85. She enjoyed Bingo games at the Wakefield and Tewksbury Elks. She has been a resident of New Hampshire for the past ten years.Family members include her sons, John A. Groveland - Marguerite "Midge" (Faucon) Jarvis, longtime resident of West Newbury and recently of Groveland, MA, passed away on May 17, 2024 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA after a brave battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Edward L. Jarvis Sr. She is survived by her children Edward "Ned" Jarvis Jr., Christine Dickinson and husband Mark, and Susan Benoit. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Ryan and Eric Jarvis, Margaret Nicoll and husband Ian, Sarah and Andrew Dickinson and Sheriden Benoit, as well as a great granddaughter, Charlotte Nicoll. Hampstead - Theodore 'Ted' Richard Krzesowski, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. Born in Springfield MA, on December 9th, 1935, he was the son of Theodore and Stella [Gawlik] Krzesowski. After proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and earning a degree in electrical engineering at Boston's Wentworth Institute of Technology, Ted worked as a microwave engineer for Microwave Associates, Micro-Dynamics and Herley Industries for over 40 years in the Boston area. He was a life-long parishioner of the Congregational Church, including participation at the First Congregational Church of Indian Orchard, the North Reading Union Congregational Church and locally and the Hampstead Congregational Church.Ted is survived by his wife Paula Yolanda Guzman, sister Judith Krzesowski and her partner Aleksa, son Kenneth Krzesowski McLellan and his wife Kimberly, daughter Wendy Krzesowski, and grandchildren Sophie (21), Briar (19) and Charlotte (15). He is also survived by Emery Bjerkmann, the mother of his children.His outdoor interests were numerous and varied, and included sailing, kayaking, photography, volleyball, archeology and gardening. Ted was extremely creative, and mechanically gifted. During his 40-year residency in Hampstead, he was always fixing something for someone! After building two cottages in Maine earlier in his life, he later created many beautiful pieces of custom stained glass art from his home studio. Throughout his life, Ted had an intense, active interest in so many subjects. He kept his curiosity high, and stayed learning his entire life. Ted's heartfelt concern for the well-being of others was infectious - he made us want to be better, and do better. He will be so missed, and his thoughtful spirit will be carried on by all those that knew him. Ted and his wife Yolanda shared an inspirational bond of love and support for over 20 years, while tirelessly and unselfishly caring for others. HAVERHILL - Marie-Olive Jaqueline 'Jackie' (Roger) LeBlanc peacefully passed away at the age of 96 on May 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.Jackie was born to J.G. Alexandre Roger and Louisa (Descoteaux) Roger on December 21, 1927, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She was the eldest remaining member of her two siblings, Eugene Roger and Yvonne Cote.Jackie grew up in Haverhill, graduated from Haverhill High School, and went on to graduate from Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture. She married James (Jimmy) Louis LeBlanc and they went on to raise four children in Bradford. Summers were spent at Hampton Beach, NH where they ran their family landmark motel from 1964 to 1997 accommodating vacationers from Canada and across the country. Jackie was widowed in 1998 and subsequently moved to her family home until her passing.Those close to Jackie knew she was the anchor matriarch of the Family. She was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Parish community. She lived a fulfilling life, inspiring all who knew her, and maintained a positive outlook grounded by her deep religious faith.She was a botanical enthusiast and avid Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed time spent in her senior bowling league where she excelled until the age of 91. She passed time playing card games and solving crossword puzzles. She loved visits from grandkids, phone calls from friends and family, and she never missed sending a birthday card.Jackie was predeceased by her son, Geoffrey, who was married to Marla (Marini) LeBlanc. She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Cote and her husband Glenn Cote of Salisbury, MA, son Stephen LeBlanc and wife Gina (Beatrice) LeBlanc of Haverhill, MA, and son Kenneth LeBlanc and his wife Danielle (Colby) LeBlanc of Hampton, NH. Bedford - Robert L. Letoile, 90, a resident of Bedford since 1996, and a former resident of Hampstead, NH, and North Conway, NH, died peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024.Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late William and Kathryn (Ayer) Letoile, and was raised and educated in Hampstead. After graduating from High School in 1951., Mr. Letoile was drafted by the Saint Louis Cardinals and played as a pitcher in the 1951 and 1952 seasons. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Letoile enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Specialist 3, until his honorable discharge in 1954.Following his discharge from the service, Mr. Letoile was employed by the family business, Wiiliam Letoile Roofing Company. He later established his own business, Letoile Construction Co. in North Conway and was a part owner of Black Mountain Ski Resort.A longtime member of the Hampstead Fire Department, he served as Fire Chief for seven years. He also volunteered his time as a coach for the Hampstead Little League and Babe Ruth League and maintained a life-long love of the game. In appreciation of his devotion to the town and the sport, the Hampstead Baseball Field was named in his honor. He was a member of the Hampstead Congregational Church and former member of the Hampstead Civic Club. Moving to North Conway in 1977, he was a member of the Kiwanis Club of North Conway.A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed skiing, baseball, furniture building and attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events.Predeceased in March of 2023, by his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Mansur) Letoile, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Lisa A. Sayers of Arlington, MA, Shelly L. Goodwin and her significant other Doug Ratio of Bedford, VA, and Kimberly A. Flournoy and her husband Rob of Seven Lakes, N.C., a son Robert L.
